Art in Conde Duque

If you’re in Madrid and love the arts, the Conde Duque cultural center (Cuartel del Conde Duque) is a great place to check out. Located in the historic center, Conde Duque consists of a number of libraries, a contemporary art museum, a theater, an auditorium for musical events, exposition rooms and more.

My boyfriend suggested a visit to one of their temporary exhibitions called, “Forms of Devotion: The Spiritual in Indian Art” (Arte y espiritualidad en la India de hoy).

This exhibition is a collection of 100 works of art created by numerous artists from India. I’m a huge fan of Indian art and enjoyed the collection immensely.

If you’re in Madrid, this exhibition ends on Sunday, January 15, 2017! It is completely free to visit and you are welcome to explore other parts of the building.

“Forms of Devotion” is located in Sala 1 de exposiciones temporales at:

Calle Conde Duque 9 y 11, 28015 Madrid

You can use any of the following metro stations to arrive: Ventura Rodriguez, Plaza de España, San Bernardo, Noviciado

Hours: Tues-Sat 10-2 and 5:30-9, Sun 10:30-2
